Products
  • Complete Product Line - Pharmaceuticals, OTCs, IVs, TPNs, Vaccines, Medical Supplies, commissary items and all related supplies at the most competitive pricing.

  • Packaging - We provide specialized dispensing systems which will best suit your facility's needs for safe and efficient medication distribution such as blister cards, vials, stock bottles, KOP (self-medication) and numerous other systems.

Ordering
  • Simple Ordering - By phoning or faxing to our facility using our toll-free numbers we offer an easy ordering system for the nurses, physicians and officers.

  • Double Labels - We provide 2-part peel off reorder labels and fax order sheets saving nursing time and increasing efficiency.

Delivery
  • Direct To Your Facility - All orders will be delivered next day direct to your facility, six days a week by 10:30 AM in most areas.

  • Security - All orders will be signed for when delivered and tracked by our pharmacy. A detailed packing slip with product listing and pricing will be enclosed to ensure accountability.

Emergency Orders
  • Starter Packs - We will provide starter packs of certain oral solid medications needed for immediate administration.

  • Emergency Medication Kit (EDK) - We will provide kits of certain injectable medications required in order to alleviate pain, infection, modify dangerous behavior or to preserve a life.

  • Emergency Delivery - We will contract with a local back-up pharmacy for STAT orders.

Equipment and Supplies
  • Medication Carts - Diamond will provide brand new, locking medication carts for the transportation, storage, and administration of all medications and supplies. We include an adequate number of carts to accommodate your supply. Our carts are top of the line, durable, lightweight and narrow for easy maneuverability throughout correctional facilities.

  • Fax Machines - We will provide plain paper fax machines for the transmission of orders to our pharmacy.

Support/Educational Services
  • Compliance - We will follow the guidelines of your facility, National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations (JCAHO), DEA and the State Pharmacy Board to assure that your facility is in compliance with all pharmacy regulations.

  • Medication Room Review Services - Our clinical pharmacists will review your medication room on site to verify compliance of all procedures and provide all documentation of inspection.

  • Policy and Procedure Manual - An extensive policy and procedures manual will be included for your use. We will assist in developing, implementing and monitoring procedures for safe and effective ordering, distribution, control and use of medications.

  • Consulting - Our clinical pharmacists are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to answer questions about medications and to arrange for emergency prescriptions.

  • Prescription Monitoring Services - Our clinical pharmacist's will screen each inmate's profile to ensure safe and therapeutic medication administration.

  • Committee Participation - Our clinical pharmacist will serve as a member of your facility's Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) and Quality Assurance (QA) Committees

  • Inservices - Our clinical staff of pharmacists and nurses will provide inservices on a wide variety of medical topics.

  • Video Library - We provide an extensive video library of over 300 tapes on various health related topics for staff and inmate education for your facility to borrow.

  • Medical Literature - We will send current medical literature and regulation information to your facility regularly. This will include profiles on new medications, therapies, standards etc.

Reports and Documentation
  • Medication Administration Records (MARs) - We will provide printed MAR's monthly for each inmate for charting documentation of medication administration. MAR's will contain inmate name, allergies, diagnosis and current medication list with directions.

  • Monthly Reports - We offer over 25 different types of computer generated monthly formulary management and usage reports. You may choose from our standard reports or we will customize them to best meet your facility's specific needs.

Cost Savings
  • Competitive Pricing - Due to our large volume and efficiencies we are able to offer the most cost effective pricing on prescriptions and medical supplies.

  • Generic Medications - Cost effective therapeutically equivalent generic medications will be dispensed when necessary in order to reduce cost.

  • Formulary Implementation and Management - The use of a drug formulary is recommended in order to further reduce costs. We will assist in the development, implementation, and compliance of the formulary. Jointly formulating and controlling a cost-effective drug list with the prescriber will greatly reduce drug expenditures.
